We humans aren't nearly as smart as we generally
want to
think we are. Real science reminds us of this simple fact, but it also
provides a way for learning more—a little bit at a time.

General Science
- General Science Studies
- History of Science
- Philosophy of Science
- Science and Society
General Science at Free-Ed.Net is composed of two
separate components. First, there are the science
courses that survey the entire topic, most often in a
general, non-mathematical way. Such programs are
intended for learners who need some understanding of
science, but plan to pursue studies that refer to little
or no scientific background. The second component
includes non-scientific works that are not scientific in
nature--the history, philosophy, and ethics of science,
for example.

galactic, and stellar phenomena occurring in outer
space. Includes instruction in celestial mechanics,
cosmology, stellar physics, galactic evolution, quasars,
stellar distribution and motion, interstellar medium,
atomic and molecular constituents of astronomical
phenomena, planetary science, solar system evolution,
and specific methodologies such as optical astronomy,
radio astronomy, and theoretical astronomy
